Information on Emergency telephone numbers in the EU - member states

In section 1.4 of the safety datasheet (SDS) an emergency telephone number shall be provided. This can be for example an official advisory body of the member state, where the substance or mixture is placed on the market.

In the section of ECHAs website, which lists information on the national REACH/CLP Helpdesks, links are provided to emergency telephone numbers or official advisory bodies in the member states.

The use of a German emergency telephone number in section 1.4 of the SDS is offered as a service by German poison information centres.

Before making use of that service, suppliers have to contact and make an agreement with the poison information centre. An agreement may include for example forwarding information on dangerous components or possible costs.
